Gil is the founder of RSSG and provides the overall vision and day-to-day management of the company. He has more than 30 years of experience implementing innovative and scalable software solutions in the payment and software industries. As president and COO, he established Balance Innovations as the leader in retail cash management, POS integration, and reconciliation serving Fortune 500 retailers such as Kroger, Safeway, and Lowe’s.
John is a co-founder of RSSG and responsible for the company’s product direction and systems. He works directly with retailers and industry consultants to build products to work in the independent retailer environment. As CTO of Henderson Engineers Inc., John guided the development of technology systems as the company scaled ten-fold in revenue while providing design and IT solutions for Fortune 500 companies such as Walmart, Yum Brands, and Sprint.
Mark is responsible for Product Development and Technology. Mark has more than 35 years of experience building high performance and scalable software solutions. Prior to joining RSSG, Mark served as Vice President of Software Development for Elecsys Corporation and as Technical Director at Thomson Reuters, a global provider of real-time financial news, information, and business analytics.
Jake is a sales consultant for RSSG and epitomizes the role of a consultant. He educates owners and leaders in the independent marketplace on RSSG’s solutions, focusing on the true impact and how they can improve their margins and store operations. Jake graduated with a degree in Business Administration and joined RSSG upon graduation. While attending school, he worked for EFL Associates and Red Nova Labs, performing sales duties for both companies.
As CEO of the Retail Grocers Association of Greater Kansas City, Jon helps over 380 local retailers leverage the Association’s buying power and expertise to improve operational efficiencies. Previously, Jon held senior management positions in software companies including Balance Innovations and FMS. As a former grocer, Jon brings valuable customer insights and industry relationships to the RSSG organization.
John brings more than 30 years in the grocery business as a 3rd generation owner and former president of Chas Ball Markets, a store that specialized in serving Hispanic clientele. He has broad experience in various aspects of the retail grocery business. John was involved in the design and implementation of a wide array of solutions in the areas of accounting, buying, product sourcing and warehouse operations to best serve customers while maximizing profits.
Mike has held key positions both in and outside of the grocery industry. Within grocery, he has managed stores, was the CFO, managed IT, and now serves in his current position as COO for Balls Food Stores. Outside of the grocery industry and immediately prior to his current tenure at Balls Food Stores, Mike earned a law degree and practiced in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters for nine years.
Keith is recognized as one of the most innovative, creative, and results-driven retail professionals in the industry, with tenured roles in loss prevention, asset protection, risk management and store operations. With over 30 years of extensive senior leadership, he led global organizations as an SVP at The Home Depot and Walmart. Today he is the founder, President and CEO of Nav1gate, a global senior advisory group.
Brand is a major contributor in RSSG’s product development and ensures our products are “best in class” and that they meet today’s unique market needs. Brand held various positions within Wal-Mart’s asset protection team and exited his 22-year career as the Operational Execution Team Director. In this role he established and evaluated store performance metrics while leading a team to improve operational effectiveness at the store level. Brand is a frequent presenter around the world on topics such as leadership principles, corporate strategy, asset protection, new technologies, and industry trends. He’s currently an Executive in Residence at the Auburn University RFID Lab and serves as a member of their Advisory Board. Brand is also a member of the International Retail Risk Conference Group Steering Committee and is the Founder and Principal of Elverston, LLC.
